Quarriers is the latest client for AS Archive Services

I have just finished a scoping report for Quarriers on their historic records. This consisted of examining the historic records both to compile an accurate list and physical location but also to assess the physical condition. I also looked into the quantity of records kept off site and their document management system.
Their collection is extensive and includes different types of admission records, annual reports and photographs. The archive is heavily used as they get many enquiries particularly from Canada. Descendants of the many children from the Orphan Homes who were sent to Canada as child migrants also like to visit and see where their relatives grew up.
Quarriers hopes to do more to make their historic records more accessible.
